Arrive in Tokyo and transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day is free to relax after arrival and enjoy the first atmosphere of Japan’s capital.
Explore Tokyo through a fascinating combination of traditional culture and modern innovation. Begin in Asakusa, home to the famous Senso-ji Temple and Nakamise Shopping Street, where visitors can experience one of Tokyo’s most historic districts. Continue to Tokyo Skytree for panoramic views across the city and gain a better understanding of Tokyo’s incredible scale and urban landscape. Later, spend time in Odaiba, a futuristic waterfront district known for its modern architecture, shopping, entertainment venues and spectacular views across Tokyo Bay. Return to the hotel in the late afternoon.
Leave the energy of Tokyo behind and travel into the scenic landscapes of Hakone, one of Japan’s most famous mountain destinations. Enjoy a cruise on Lake Ashi surrounded by volcanic scenery and, weather permitting, views of Mount Fuji in the distance. Continue by Hakone Ropeway for elevated views of forests, mountains and geothermal landscapes. This day offers a completely different side of Japan, combining natural beauty, fresh mountain air and some of the country’s most iconic scenery. Return to Tokyo in the evening.
Enjoy a full day at leisure in Tokyo with the flexibility to explore according to your interests. Guests may choose to visit TeamLab Planets, Shibuya Crossing, Meiji Shrine, Harajuku, Ginza or the vibrant districts of Shinjuku and Akihabara. Shopping enthusiasts will find endless options, while food lovers can discover everything from traditional Japanese cuisine to modern dining experiences. This day allows travelers to experience Tokyo at their own pace and focus on the aspects of the city that interest them most.
A second flexible day in Tokyo allows guests to continue exploring the city independently or enjoy one of Japan’s most popular entertainment experiences. Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea can be added as optional full-day experiences for families, couples or theme park enthusiasts.
Guests who prefer to remain in the city may continue discovering Tokyo’s neighborhoods, museums, shopping districts and cultural attractions at their own pace before the journey continues by Shinkansen.
Transfer to Tokyo Station and travel by Shinkansen bullet train to Osaka. On arrival, transfer to the hotel and enjoy the evening at leisure.
Travel to Nara, Japan’s first permanent capital and one of the country’s most important cultural destinations. Visit Todai-ji Temple, home to the Great Buddha, and enjoy time among Nara’s famous free-roaming deer, a beloved symbol of the city.
Later continue toward Osaka and visit Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan, one of the country’s most impressive aquarium experiences. End the day in Dotonbori, known for neon lights, street food culture and the energetic atmosphere that makes Osaka so memorable.
Discover Kyoto, the cultural heart of Japan and home to many of the country’s most celebrated historic landmarks. Visit Kiyomizu Temple and enjoy views across the traditional districts of the city before continuing to Arashiyama, known for its scenic atmosphere and famous bamboo grove. Later explore the remarkable Fushimi Inari Shrine, recognized worldwide for its thousands of red torii gates that create one of Japan’s most iconic walking paths. Return to Osaka in the evening.
Enjoy a relaxed day in Osaka with time to experience the city according to your own interests. Guests may explore Dotonbori, Shinsaibashi, Umeda Sky Building, Kuromon Market or Osaka Castle.
